Of which, Vietnam’s exports to the US gained US$12.61 billion, rising 19.6% against previous year and Vietnam’s imports from the US reached US$2.673 billion, increasing 46.6% versus 2007.

Vietnam’s export items gained high profit such as garment and textile revenue was US$5.265 billion, wooden products with US$1.456 billion and footwear with US$1.211 billion.

Also according to the US Department of Commerce, the US’s 14 out of 15 key items exported to Vietnam increased in value compared with 2007 such as vehicles and transport gained over US$322 million. Notably, meat and animal viscera to process foods from the US market exported to Vietnam posted the highest growth with US$230 million, rising 299.5% from 2007.
