The congress was held in France on June 20, welcoming members, representatives from the Vietnam Embassy and the Vietnamese People’s Association, and other youth Vietnamese communities in France.

Since 2007, the union has been running practical programs aimed to bring together young Vietnamese in France and create a link with Vietnam.

The highlight of the union’s programs during 2007-2009 have been artistic performances at the 2008 Hue Festival, Vietnamese language courses for overseas Vietnamese and activities aiming to support victims of Agent Orange.

An activity that attracted many young people was a project to develop medicinal herb gardens at several clinics in Vietnam.

The union continues to organize activities to attract more young people, as well as helping Vietnamese students in France.

The fourth UJVF congress focused on cultural activities, such as future artistic performances at the 2010 Hue Festival.

Set up in March 2004, the union is not only a forum for Vietnamese youth to share experiences, but also a bridge connecting them to social activities from their home country.

The union is now the largest organization of Vietnamese youth in France, with 165 members and a large number of supporters.
