Canada imposes antidumping tax on Vietnam-made shoes

Department of Competition Management, Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) temporarily has imposed antidumping duties on shoes and those waterproof rubber-soled shoes made in Vietnam.
In details, the three shoemaking enterprises of Vinh Long Shoe Co, Pou Yuen Vietnam Co and Ful-gent Sung leather shoes Co would be imposed antidumping taxes of 15.8 percent, 7.3 percent and 3.4 percent respectively. The only company got exemption from antidumping tax was State-way Vietnam Co Ltd For the group of general shoes exported from Vietnam, the applied antidumping tax was posted at 12.8 percent, much lower than those belonging to group of specific exported shoes of 32.4 percent.
These antidumping duties was counted at the percentage of export value for each order, and applied from August 26 until the Canadian International Trade Tribunal gives their final decisions at the end of Sep.
