Pham Gia Tuc, representative from Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) confirmed that Vietnamese government always create conditions for Spanish enterprises to invest in big projects of metro railway and infrastructure construction in Vietnam.

The bilateral trade of Vietnam-Spain reached $1.2 billion in 2008 and $829 million during the first seven months of 2009, a year-on-year rise of 5 percent.

Vietnam exports mainly footwear, clothes, coffee, seafood and wood to Spain and imports machines, organic chemicals, steel, leather materials and pharmaceuticals from the foreign partner.

Till late October, Spain has 14 operational projects in Vietnam with total registered capital of more than $11 million, ranking 61 among 89 foreign investors of Vietnam.
