Prime Minister of Finland visit Vietnam

Prime Minister of Finland, Mr. Matti VANHANEN will be conducting an official visit to Vietnam 15.-17. November 2009. The Prime Minister will visit both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with a representative Finnish business delegation accompanying him.
On Monday, 16th November, the Prime Minister will have official talks with his Vietnamese counterpart, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, with current global issues like the financial crisis and climate change, regional affairs such as ASEAN, not forgetting bilateral issues and trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The Prime Minister will also pay a visit to National Assembly Chairman of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Vice President Madame Nguyen Thi Doan and the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Nong Duc Manh.
The accompanying Finnish business delegation represents very well the versality and diversity of the Finnish economic life: there are big enterprises as well small and medium-sized businesses, all coming from different sectors and areas of operation. Despite of their diversity, they are all interested in the potential of the Vietnamese markets. The business delegation will have meetings with different line-ministries and other important stakeholders to learn more about the opportunities available in the growing economy of the modern Vietnam.
A Finland- Vietnam Business Forum is held in connection to the Prime Minister's visit in Ho Chi Minh City on November 17th. The Finnish Prime Minister will deliver a key-note speech in the opening session of the business forum. He will also meet with Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

Vietnam-Finland Business Forum in Ho Chi Minh City
A business delegation of 25 Finnish companies will accompany Finland’s Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen in his working visit to Vietnam from 15th to 17th November 2009, with the key aim to promote Finnish companies presence in Vietnam as well as the bilateral trade & investment relation between the two countries.
Finnish companies participating in the Delegation are in different business areas, including: clean energy, environment, metal and engineering, mining, ICT, banking & finance, education, healthcare, chemical, oild refinery, construction, forestry, real-estate. In order to support Finnish and Vietnamese companies in establishing and improving business cooperation, and looking for trade & investment opportunities as well, Finpro (www.finpro.fi) – Embassy of Finland, in coordination with different business associations, will organize a business forum which will take place in the morning on 17th November 2009, in Ho Chi Minh City at Caravelle Hotel.
