France funds 100m euro for public investment reform

Ministry of finance and French Development Agency (AFD) has inked a credit agreement worth 100 million euro on March 29, 2010 in Hanoi, to carry out public investment reform programme in Vietnam.
ogether with another $50 million credit agreement offered by the World Bank (WB) on December 2009, this new package will help facilitate public investment reform in the Southeast Asian countries.
It is expected that the second phase of the programme will continue being co-funded by AFD and WB in 2011.
According to the signed agreement, the total ODA that AFD committed to disburse for Vietnam from 1994 up to now was estimated at nearly 1.1 billion euro.
