Vietnam Railway Administration has announced to re-launch a tender to find a new contractor for the 3rd bidding package of Yen Vien-Cai Lan railway project after canceling the bidding result of South Korea's LS Industrial Systems Company Ltd
The move came after the Ministry of Transport had received a complaint from the China-Vietnam partnership, CRSCS-CTTE, to ask for inspections on selecting the contractor to the supply of EPC equipment and materials for packaging.
The CRSCS - CTTE, which joined also the tender, said the administration violated bidding regulations when it chose South Korea's LS Industrial Systems Company Ltd as the winner which made a lower bid than it did.
Under the Vietnam Railway Administration's bidding plan, the 3rd bidding package is worth 691 billion dong, including provision costs.
LS Industrial Systems Company Ltd won the bidding package at the value of 424 billion dong.
