Vietnam's Hue Festival to open in June

HANOI - Vietnam will hold the Hue Festival 2010 in the country's ancient capital city of Hue on June 5-13, according to the organizer's website on Thursday.
The Hue Festival is held biennially since 2000. Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 under the Nguyen Dynasty.
More than 40 art teams from 31 countries across the world will participate in the coming Festival which serves as a place for the meeting of ancient capital cities and cities recognized as world heritage sites.
Visitors will have chance to enjoy a variety of art activities at the festival including dancing and singing performances, circus, street arts, films, exhibitions and puppet performances.
In 2008, the Hue Festival drew participation of 21 international art teams and attracted 180,000 tourists.
