Inspectors from the ministry said they found the film, “The Murder No.6,” on the Hanoi-based video sharing website, which also posts many foreign films.

They said experts from the ministry have watched the film and concluded that it is offensive and it "provokes violence."

The film, made by a local singer and a group of comedians, has already upset many viewers.

It tries to recreate in gory details the murder at a wealthy family in Binh Phuoc Province last month.

The ministry has banned it.

Tran Van Minh, deputy chief inspector at the ministry, said it is still investigating the people involved in the making of the film.

As for the real murder case, police have arrested two men suspected of killing the family members and another for knowing about the plan and not reporting it.
