Qingdao Airlines will offer a new route from Lanzhou to Dalat. The service using an Airbus A320neo will initially serve the route with a single weekly flight on Saturday starting 7 December and increasing to twice weekly by mid-December.

Seats are pre-sold to Chinese tour operators for package holidays. There are no free sales on the service either in China or Vietnam. By 18 December flights will operate on Wednesday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, EastarJet has started a Cheongju – Danang service from 3 December on a seasonal basis with just two flights weekly pre-sold to Chinese tour operators. Flights depart Cheongju on Tuesday and Friday.

In neighbouring Laos, more seasonal flights are due from South Korea. A Korean low-cost airline, T’Way Air, will offer seasonal flights that will operate from the South Korean city of Busan to Vientiane the Lao capital starting 25 December to 26 February.

Flights using a Boeing 737 will operate out of Busan on Wednesday and Saturday. Seats are pre-sold to Korean tour operators on what is technically a scheduled charter.
