Vietnam did not invade, but revived Cambodia

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has categorically rejected the notion that Vietnam invaded the neighboring Southeast Asian kingdom in the 1970s, saying Vietnamese soldiers had sacrificed their lives for “the survival of the Cambodian people and the country.”

Laos clinch Mekong Cup with home victory

Torrential rain and treacherous conditions underfoot proved no deterrents as Laos scrambled home to an 11-7 victory over Cambodia at the Chao Anouvong Stadium in Vientiane on Saturday for a two-leg aggregate of 32-26 points to lift the 2011 Mekong Cup Asian Five Nations, the symbol of rugby supremacy between the two ASEAN neighbours.

U16 squad head to Vietnam for training

The U16 national team leave today for a ten-day training camp at Thanh Long Center in Ho Chi Minh City. Japanese coach Daisuke Yoshioka and his three assistants, Phea Sopheaktra, Meas Channa and Soung Phirum, will accompany the talented youngsters as they prepare for the upcoming 2011 AFF U16 Championships in Vientiane from July 7-17.
