Face aux protestations du Viêt-nam, Taiwan réitère sa souveraineté sur l’île de Taiping, dans les Spratley

Le ministère des Affaires étrangères a réitéré au Viêt-nam, hier, la revendication de souveraineté de Taipei sur l’île de Taiping, la principale de l’archipel des Spartley située en mer de Chine méridionale. La déclaration intervient après que les médias vietnamiens ont qualifié les manœuvres militaires que compte conduire Taiwan dans la zone de violation de la souveraineté du Viêt-nam sur l’île.

The Spratly Island where some 100 Coast Guardsmen are deployed is known as Taiping Island, or “Peace Island,” though it isn’t quite peaceful any more.
