Vietnam makes millions off illicit log trade with Laos

Bangkok - Vietnam last year imported about 500,000 cubic metres of illegally harvested timber from neighbouring Laos, feeding its billion-dollar export industry of wood products to Europe and other markets, an environmental group said Thursday.

Vietnam to restrict lease of forest land to foreign investors
