Controversial plan to open road through park submitted to city

HCM City's Transport Department has submitted to the city government for final approval a controversial project to open a street through Hoang Van 11m Park in Tan Binh District as an extra route to Tan Son Nhat International Airport and to reduce worsening traffic jams in the area, said an official of the department.

Hanoi - A bus accident that killed four people in Hanoi brought a bloody end to a four-day holiday weekend that saw traffic fatalities rise by more than one third over the normal rate, a police official said Tuesday.
